L'avis du Guide Michelin
An interesting modern dining concept. It all kicks off at 7pm when the guests for the evening arrive. At 7.15pm, service begins. There is a single seven-course set menu (with additional amuse-bouche and final course) showcasing a global palate with strong Asian influences and delivering bold, distinct flavours. Plenty of umami and studied technique are the hallmarks of chef Luis Hendricks's cooking – these underpin the entire menu. Then there are the masterful desserts, such as a perfectly balanced black garlic and dark chocolate mousse, which, together with roasted pecan, banana ice cream and refreshing bergamot vinaigrette, create a refined combination of nuanced flavours. Diners are seated at an 18-seat counter facing the open kitchen, from which they can see the cooks in action. This set-up, which allows you to witness teamwork at its finest and sense the enthusiasm as they set about their work, fosters a sociable and entertaining ambience that aligns well with the trendy urban aesthetic. As well as high-calibre wines, the expertly crafted alcohol-free beverage pairings are highly recommended! Zeitwerk, another restaurant by Robin Pietsch, is right next door.
